COLLOQUIUM

Thank you for joining the ELEVENTH INTERNATIONAL COLLOQUIUM on Education held AUGUST 5-7, 2023.

Please save the date for August 3-5,2024

Celebrating Eleven Years

Begun in 2013, the International Colloquium on Education is the annual outreach event of the Foundation created to inspire the school community by inviting thought leaders from different walks of life to share their experiences and meet our alumni and teachers to better understand Sri Adwayananda Public School.

This year we were fortunate again to have a lineup of distinguished guests joining us from Delhi and Mumbai, and as far as Seattle, California, Michigan, Paris, Moscow, and Dallas. Each were experts in their area of profession ranging from creative media and technology to education, leadership, and Artificial Intelligence.

The International Colloquium is also an opportunity for the school and foundation to forge new partnerships. Over the years we have had guests from India and around the world including a representative of UNESCO and have an ongoing partnership with Decathlon for the benefit of our students and alumni. In 2021 AEF created an Advisory Council which meets bi-annually to help further the mission of the Foundation by inviting former Colloquium guests who can give valuable input as thought leaders in different professions and disciplines.

Guests at the Colloquium have enabled us to create meaningful partnerships that benefit our students including UNESCO Delhi, Decathlon, and The Big History Project.

In 2013 when Alliance Educational Foundation launched its First International Colloquium on Education in Malakara, Kerala, Dr. Huma Masood, Programme Officer for Gender of UNESCO, was among its inaugural group of distinguished guests.

Returning last year for the Ninth International Colloquium in August 2021 at the request of UNESCO/India Director, Mr. Eric Falt, Dr. Masood was a featured speaker at the Colloquium Valedictory Session. She spoke of the “curriculum of the future” that inculcates values such as mutual respect, tolerance, inclusivity and most importantly, equality, along with life skills such as leadership, critical thinking, and communication ability.
