The Sixth International Colloquium just concluded and we were fortunate to have a wonderful lineup of speakers:
This year’s notable guest speakers
- Creating a relationship of trust between teacher and taught
- Connecting learning with the student’s own experience and interest
- Acknowledging the individual ways in which children learn and develop
UNESCO has supported the Colloquium series since its inception, and in a congratulatory message for the Fourth Colloquium stated:
“…The relationship amongst teachers and students has always been diverse and there is increasing recognition that teachers play the most important role in a student’s learning – and thus, in improving educational attainments, increasing the ability of young people to participate in society and today’s knowledge economies, boosting productivity and prosperity…We at UNESCO believe that teachers enhance and shape student learning and are active promoters of the values of citizenship, peace and intercultural dialogue…”.
